Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Lodge Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a luxury game reserve in Welgevonden, Limpopo. This is an excellent opportunity for a hospitality professional with a strong background in luxury safari lodge management, exceptional leadership abilities and a passion for delivering memorable guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the lodge, ensuring the highest standards of service and hospitality are consistently maintained.
Lead, motivate and manage the lodge team, fostering a positive and professional working environment.
Ensure exceptional guest experiences from arrival to departure, attending to guest needs and resolving any concerns efficiently.
Manage operational budgets, control costs and monitor expenditure to support the financial performance of the lodge.
Oversee stock control, procurement and inventory management.
Maintain high standards of housekeeping, food and beverage service, maintenance and overall lodge presentation.
Work closely with the kitchen, front-of-house, housekeeping and guiding teams to ensure seamless operations.
Monitor staff performance, provide ongoing training and ensure compliance with company policies and hospitality standards.
Ensure health, safety and hygiene regulations are adhered to throughout the property.
Assist with the development and implementation of operational procedures to improve efficiency and service delivery.
Build and maintain positive relationships with guests, suppliers and team members.
Uphold the standards and reputation of a luxury safari hospitality environment.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a Lodge Manager or senior lodge management position within a luxury safari lodge or game reserve.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
Excellent financial and operational management capabilities.
A solid understanding of hospitality standards, guest relations and lodge operations.
Exceptional communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
The ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
A hands-on approach with a passion for service excellence and continuous improvement.
Flexibility to work in a remote, live-in environment and accommodate the operational demands of a luxury game reserve.
Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience. Live-in accommodation is provided.
