This senior leadership role requires a polished, strategic, and people-focused hospitality professional who thrives in a purpose-driven, conservation-based environment. You will lead the lodge team, uphold world-class standards, and ensure a guest experience that is meaningful, personalised, and unforgettable. Key Responsibilities • Oversee full lodge operations and lead all departmental teams in line with the Standard of Excellence • Maintain warm, personalised guest relations and ensure the highest levels of attention to detail • Drive staff morale, skills development, and performance management across the lodge team • Manage HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing staff development • Ensure exceptional housekeeping, gardening, and maintenance standards in keeping with design and visual audits • Oversee financial controls, stock management, ordering, and operational budgeting • Manage daily administration of concierge, reception, and guest communication functions • Protect the quality, care, and integrity of lodge equipment, furnishings, decor, and guest areas • Develop and implement strategic lodge management plans to support broader company goals • Contribute to sustainability initiatives and continually seek ways to “green” lodge operations • Actively represent and communicate the lodge’s conservation purpose and messaging • Support a collaborative culture and multi-skilling across departments Requirements • Minimum 6 years senior hospitality experience, including management in a 5 star lodge environment – essential • Strong Food and Beverage knowledge, including terminology and service standards • Excellent financial, administrative, and reporting skills • Strong knowledge of dietaries, allergies, and personalised guest preferences • High-level communication and leadership ability • Understanding of labour law, disciplinary processes, and HR best practices • Excellent computer literacy • Strong understanding of housekeeping and maintenance procedures • Passion for service excellence, detail, and guest connection • Valid driver’s license • South African citizenship or valid work permit Package • Highly competitive salary, negotiable based on experience • Live-in accommodation plus additional benefits • Opportunity to work in a deeply conservation-driven, community-focused, nature-immersive environment To Apply Please submit your CV, contactable references, and a recent head and shoulders photograph ASAP. ?
