? ?? ??????????? ??????????? is recruiting on behalf of one of the most acclaimed names in African luxury travel, for an experienced and guest-centred ?????? ????? ???????. Our client operates a celebrated collection of luxury properties across Africa and beyond, consistently rated among the continent’s finest safari and travel experiences. This particular role is based at an exclusive, remote island lodge in Mozambique – one of the most spectacular properties in the group’s portfolio, set in a pristine coastal wilderness and delivering a deeply personalised guest experience to high-end international travellers. It is a permanent, live-in position with a competitive package that includes accommodation and meals. Reporting to the General Manager, this is first and foremost a hospitality leadership role. The Lodge Manager will oversee the full operation – from daily guest experience delivery and personalised delight planning, through to the design and implementation of a structured hospitality training programme across all guest-facing departments. Operational and financial management, team leadership (including HOD mentorship and performance management), sustainability and community engagement, and health and safety compliance all fall within the scope of this position. The right person will be equally at home on the floor with guests as they are reviewing budgets or leading a service training session. ???????????? At least 3–5 years’ experience as Lodge Manager within a luxury lodge or five-star hotel, ideally in a remote location. A demonstrable track record of building and developing high-performing hospitality teams through structured training, mentorship, and a genuine passion for service excellence. Relevant hospitality or tourism management qualification (degree or diploma level). Strong operational, financial, and people management capabilities, with budgeting and CAPEX exposure. A warm, engaging, hosting-oriented personality with excellent guest relations skills – the ability to personalise experiences and make every guest feel genuinely looked after. Detail-oriented and hands-on approach; comfortable doing daily quality checks and leading from the front. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel in particular) and familiarity with lodge management systems. Fluent English; Portuguese language skills will be a distinct advantage given the location. Experience working in a multi-cultural team environment will be favourably considered. Culturally sensitive and adaptable to the rhythms of remote island living. Knowledge of sustainability best practices in hospitality is a plus.
