A luxury lodge in the northwestern side of the Okavango Delta (Botswana) is requiring a professional and dedicated Lodge Management Couple The successful candidate couple will oversee the daily operations of this premier remote lodge. This role requires a hands-on approach to ensuring exceptional guest experiences while maintaining high standards of hospitality, conservation, and safety in a unique, water-based wildlife setting. Roles and Responsibilities: 1. Guest Experience & Hosting Host international guests, providing a personalized and high-quality safari experience. Manage guest logistics, including arrivals, departures, and detailed itineraries. Engage with guests during meals and activities to ensure a "home-away-from-home" atmosphere. Professionally resolve guest feedback and manage special requests or dietary needs. 2. Lodge Operations Oversee daily operations across all departments: Housekeeping, Kitchen, Activities, and Maintenance. Maintain the aesthetic appeal and functional standards of the lodge. Uphold stringent health, hygiene, and safety protocols suitable for a remote location. 3. Staff Management Lead; train, and supervise local staff, fostering a positive and respectful work culture. Manage staff rosters, leave schedules, and performance reviews. Drive skills development and internal growth within the team. 4. Administration & Finance Handle day-to-day administration, budgeting, and financial reporting. Oversee procurement, stock control, and cost-saving measures. Manage cash-ups, petty cash, and guest billing accurately. 5. Food & Beverage Oversight Coordinate with the kitchen team on menu planning and meal service. Ensure high standards of food presentation and hygiene are maintained. Oversee bar operations, inventory, and beverage stock levels. 6. River & Activity Operations Coordinate water-based activities: boat cruises, fishing, mokoro excursions, and birding. Ensure all activities comply with local waterway and conservation regulations. Manage fuel supplies, boat maintenance schedules, and activity equipment safety. 7. Maintenance & Sustainability Monitor and maintain lodge infrastructure, including solar systems, water pumps, and generators. Coordinate repairs with external contractors as needed. Champion environmentally responsible operations and sustainability initiatives. Work Experience & Education: Education: A Diploma or Degree in Tourism or Lodge Management. Experience: 5 – 8 years of proven experience in Tourism and Lodge Management. Background: Previous exposure to remote lodge environments and a deep understanding of the industry's operational requirements.
