Lodge Management Couple Location: Welgevonden Property Type: Luxury Game Lodge Salary: Negotiable DOE | Live-in Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Management Couple for a luxury game lodge in Welgevonden. The ideal candidates will work closely with the owner and share his vision, contributing to the long-term growth and development of the lodge. This opportunity is suited to individuals who can walk the extra mile, understand the bigger picture, and are committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences and consistent operational excellence. A range of candidate profiles will be considered, including: Trails Guide + Chef Junior Management Couple Senior Management Couple Senior all-rounder General Manager in cases where a junior couple is appointed Live-in benefits include accommodation, Wi-Fi, DStv, housekeeping, and a meal allowance of R1,500 per person. Duties and Responsibilities Guest Experience Deliver a high standard of personalised guest service. Host guests professionally and ensure a welcoming lodge atmosphere. Maintain strong guest relations and handle queries or concerns promptly. Assist with lodge activities, including guiding for Trails-qualified applicants. Culinary (for Chef Applicants) Prepare and deliver high-quality, lodge-appropriate meals. Manage kitchen hygiene, stock control, and menu planning. Contribute to guest dining experiences with creativity and consistency. Lodge Operations Oversee daily lodge operations to ensure smooth and efficient running. Maintain high standards across housekeeping, maintenance, and guest areas. Support staff management, scheduling, and training. Manage stock control, orders, and operational supplies. Ensure lodge facilities, gardens, and buildings are well maintained. Assist with management duties, reporting, and general administration as required. Management & Leadership Lead by example, motivating and guiding the lodge team. Uphold service excellence, operational standards, and safety procedures. Work closely with the owner to achieve long-term lodge objectives. Demonstrate maturity, responsibility, and proactive problem-solving. Requirements Previous lodge management, hospitality, guiding, or culinary experience (depending on the applied role). Strong leadership and teamwork orientation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Passion for hospitality, guest experience, and lodge life. Ability to work independently and take initiative. Flexibility and willingness to assist across all lodge departments. Trails qualification for guiding applicants (where applicable). Culinary training/experience for Chef applicants (where applicable).
