Hospitality and Outdoor – New Vacancy – Junior Restaurant Manager Wine Estate Restaurant – Franschoek – Western Cape An exceptional Michelin-style restaurant in Franschhoek is seeking a polished, motivated and service-driven Junior Restaurant Manager to join its professional food and beverage team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced hospitality professional who thrives in a premium, high-volume environment and is passionate about refined service, memorable guest experiences and operational excellence. The restaurant accommodates approximately 140 guests and hosts regular dining services, weddings and curated tasting experiences. Reporting to the Senior Restaurant Manager, Food and Beverage Manager and Restaurant General Manager, the Junior Restaurant Manager will support daily operations and help maintain consistently high service standards. Job Description & Requirements: · Assist senior management with daily restaurant operations, service preparation, opening procedures and closing procedures. · Supervise, motivate and support front-of-house employees during restaurant service, weddings and tasting experiences. · Welcome guests professionally and resolve service concerns promptly, calmly and courteously. · Maintain Michelin-style presentation, attention to detail and premium service standards throughout every guest interaction. · Coordinate with the kitchen, beverage and events teams to ensure efficient communication and seamless service delivery. · Assist with reservations, table allocations, guest flow and operational planning for services accommodating up to 140 guests. · Support stock control, beverage management, cash-up procedures and general restaurant administration. · Help train front-of-house employees in menu knowledge, service sequence, upselling and guest relations. · Previous experience as a Junior Restaurant Manager, Restaurant Supervisor or Assistant Restaurant Manager within a fine-dining, premium restaurant or luxury hospitality environment. · Strong knowledge of professional food and beverage service, restaurant operations and guest experience standards. · Experience supporting weddings, events, tastings or high-volume services will be advantageous. · Confident leadership, communication, organisational and problem-solving abilities. · Well-groomed, hands-on and composed during busy services. · Willingness to work evenings, weekends and public holidays. · A relevant hospitality qualification will be advantageous. Package - Salary: R18 000 – R26 000 per month, DOE - This is a live-out position. Start Date: ASAP
