MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
To provide high-level administrative, operational and coordination support to the Human Resources function, while acting as a strategic and executional assistant to the Head of Human Resources.
The role is responsible for ensuring seamless HR operations, legislative compliance, accurate record keeping, and a premium employee experience aligned to ultra-luxury hospitality standards.
Additionally, this role supports the Head of HR in executing strategic people initiatives, reporting, project coordination, and driving consistency across all HR practices.

Second Level Superior: Managing Director

PACKAGE
• Salary: R14,740

REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum Education
• Matric
• Diploma or Degree in Human Resources / Industrial Psychology / People Management (advantageous)
Additional Qualifications
• Payroll or HR systems certification (advantageous)
• Knowledge of South African Labour Legislation (BCEA, LRA, EE Act, COIDA)
• Exposure to hospitality or luxury service environments (advantageous)
Minimum Work Experience
• 1–2 years’ experience in an HR administrative or HR generalist support role
• Experience supporting senior HR leadership or executives
• Exposure to payroll coordination and HR systems
Software Experience
• Sage People 300 (highly advantageous)
• Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• HRIS systems and digital filing systems
RESPONSIBILITIES / KPI / KPA
HR Administration & Operations Excellence
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date and audit-ready employee records and HR documentation
• Manage onboarding administration, including contracts, induction scheduling and employee setup
• Ensure all HR documentation complies with legislative and internal standards
• Maintain HR systems, databases and filing (digital and physical) to best practice standards
• Track probation reviews, contract renewals and employee lifecycle milestones
Executive Support to Head of HR
• Provide direct administrative and coordination support to the Head of HR
• Prepare reports, presentations and HR dashboards for EXCO and leadership meetings
• Coordinate HR projects, track deliverables and follow up on execution
• Manage calendar coordination, meeting preparation and minute taking for key HR forums
• Assist in driving strategic HR initiatives and People Operations transformation projects
Payroll & HR Systems Support
• Support payroll with data accuracy, submissions and reconciliations
• Ensure employee data integrity on Sage People 300 or relevant HRIS
• Assist with benefits administration, including pension, medical aid and statutory submissions
• Conduct regular audits of HR and payroll data
Employee Experience & Engagement
• Act as a first point of contact for HR-related queries
• Maintain a professional, approachable and high-service HR presence
• Support employee engagement initiatives, communication and wellness programmes
• Assist with induction and onboarding experience aligned to luxury service standards
Compliance & Governance
• Ensure compliance with South African labour legislation and internal policies
• Support Employment Equity, Skills Development and BBBEE processes
• Assist with audits, reporting and submission of statutory requirements
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity of all employee information
Learning & Development Coordination
• Maintain training records and skills development documentation
• Coordinate training sessions, workshops and learning interventions
• Track mandatory training, compliance and development plans
HR Projects & Continuous Improvement
• Assist in development and implementation of HR policies and SOPs
• Support People Operations transformation initiatives
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency
• Contribute to building a best-in-class People Operations function
Reporting & Analytics
• Compile monthly HR reports (headcount, turnover, leave, compliance, etc.)
• Support development of HR dashboards and people analytics
• Track key HR metrics and highlight risks or trends
