Live-in Position
Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Housekeeping & Laundry Manager to join a luxury private game reserve in the Sabi Sands.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate housekeeping professional who takes pride in maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness, presentation and guest service within a luxury safari environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all Housekeeping and Laundry operations
- Maintain exceptional cleanliness and presentation standards throughout the property
- Lead, train and motivate the housekeeping and laundry teams
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house spaces
- Manage housekeeping stock, linen, amenities and equipment
- Ensure efficient laundry operations and quality control
- Monitor departmental standards and implement improvements where required
- Assist with staff scheduling, training and performance management
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and hygiene standards
- Work closely with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience
Requirements
- Previous Housekeeping & Laundry Management experience within a luxury hotel, lodge or private game reserve environment
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities
- Ability to maintain high standards in a fast-paced hospitality environment
- Professional, hands-on and guest-focused approach
- Strong communication skills
- Previous experience managing stock, linen and departmental budgets would be advantageous
