Job Requirements Grade 12 qualification Direct experience with stock control ; management of stock, and cost of sales Strong knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures Proven record of kitchen and staff management Ability to act with accuracy and speed in emergencies, providing effective solutions Familiarity with industry best practices Degree in Culinary Science or related certificate (advantageous) Strong computer skills and ability to communicate clearly via telephone and email Excellent customer focus and interpersonal skills Advanced computer proficiency Teamwork-oriented with attention to detail Effective time management skills Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced hospitality environment Job Responsibilities Oversee kitchen procurement, stock control, and security in the Executive Chef’s absence Ensure accurate ordering of food, consumables, and equipment per company policy and operational standards Source items only from approved suppliers, securing authorization for alternatives when required Verify quality, quantity, and pricing of received goods to maintain consistency and compliance Assist with managing cleaning supplies and consumable budgets aligned with revenue targets and directives Support cost control, profit margin objectives, and overall financial efficiency Address operational issues promptly, implementing corrective measures where necessary Conduct monthly stock counts across food, equipment, non-consumables, and cleaning supplies Report any stock losses immediately to the Executive Chef, General Manager, or Financial Manager Contribute to smooth kitchen operations by promoting accountability, efficiency, and adherence to company standards Package Market-related salary Live in Start Date Asap
