WatersEdge Solutions is partnering with a high-growth global HR technology business to recruit a highly analytical and ambitious Research and Development Analyst. Working closely with senior leadership, including the Managing Director and COO, you will help build the operational foundations of a rapidly scaling international business while contributing to the development of innovative global employment solutions.
About the RoleAs a Research and Development Analyst, you will conduct in-depth research across multiple global jurisdictions, focusing on employment legislation, taxation, and operational processes. You will support the development of scalable systems, maintain critical business knowledge, and contribute to strategic projects that shape the organisation's global operations.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys intellectual challenges, and wants to work directly with senior leadership in a fast-paced startup environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesWork directly with senior leadership to build and improve operational processes
Conduct detailed research into employment laws, taxation, and labour regulations across multiple global jurisdictions
Maintain and enhance the organisation's knowledge base and intellectual property
Develop streamlined operational processes that support the technology platform and global service offering
Research and analyse information required for new operational initiatives and backend processes
Support multiple high-impact projects simultaneously in a rapidly evolving environment
Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and scalability
Analyse complex information and present findings in a structured, practical manner
Contribute to the ongoing development of global business operations and process documentation
What You'll BringExcellent academic results with a relevant tertiary qualification
Chartered Accountant (CA), Admitted Attorney, BCom, or similar qualification preferred
Strong logical reasoning and critical thinking ability
Comfortable working with ambiguity and solving complex problems
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
High levels of initiative, curiosity, and self-motivation
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel
Affinity for technology and learning new systems quickly
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Nice to HaveExperience using Monday.com
Exposure to employment law, tax, compliance, or legal research
Startup or scale-up experience
Experience supporting operational process development
