This is not merely a teaching role; it is a high-level appointment where you will master the art of mentorship, overseeing the daily rhythms of a camp while ensuring the highest standards of field delivery and student development. Located in the most iconic, unfenced wilderness areas of Limpopo and Mpumalanga, you will be the primary custodian of a remote training camp. Your impact is defined by your ability to manage the facility’s operations while ensuring every lesson delivered by you aligns with the integrity of a world-renowned curriculum. As the lead facilitator, you are responsible for the hands-on delivery and assessment of accredited programmes that are strictly aligned with FGASA and NQF/SAQA standards. You are the custodian of an authentic, immersive training philosophy, ensuring that the next generation of professionals is molded to the highest possible calibre through consistent, high-integrity mentorship. Clear criminal record; Excellent employment track record – references will be verified; Excellent English fluency & literacy; Minimum of 10 years professional guiding experience within Southern Africa; Valid Professional Field and Trails Guide qualification and registration (FGASA aligned); Proven experience delivering training and assessments in a field-based environment; Experience working within high-end safari or conservation operations; ??? ?? ???? ?? ??? ????????? (?? ???? ????? ?? ?????????): NQF Level 4 Nature Guide (or higher) / FGASA Professional Field and Trails Guide (or close to it) / VPDA qualification / Current Advanced Rifle Handling certificate; Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP); Working knowledge of South African wildlife legislation, safety standards, and best practice ??????????/????????????/?????? Strong leadership presence with the ability to mentor and inspire; Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills; High levels of professionalism, accountability, and integrity; Passion for conservation, education, and the development of future guides; Ability to lead by example and consistently uphold the company values. ??? ???????????????? ???????? & ?????????: Deliver professional, immersive, and inspirational training aligned with company curriculum. Plan and facilitate daily camp-based activities, including lectures, practical field sessions, assessments, and evaluations. Ensure all academic records, assessments, moderation requirements, and reporting are completed accurately and timeously. Uphold academic integrity and ensure compliance with FGASA, SAQA/NQF, and internal company standards. ???? & ??????????? ???????: Overall responsibility for the effective day-to-day management of a remote training camp. Oversight of camp infrastructure, vehicles, equipment, and general maintenance requirements. Full responsibility for firearms and ammunition management in line with South African legislation, including safe handling, storage, maintenance, and record-keeping. Liaison with reserve management and landowners regarding operational and training-related matters. ?????????? & ???????????? ???????????: Line management of Camp Coordinators and oversight of support staff (cooks, cleaners, general workers) Mentorship and development of students, interns, and junior instructors Active contribution to EcoTraining’s long-term strategy of instructor development and industry upliftment ???????????? / ??????? / ???? ????? Competitive / negotiable CTC package NEG. DOE on field experience and unique skill set – ?????? ?????? ???? ??????????? ?????? ?????????? ???? ???????????; Accommodation provided – single tented accommodation with communal ablutions; 3 meals per day; Uniform; Discretionary bonus incentive based on personal and company performance Work cycle: 6 weeks on, 2 weeks off (subject to change based on operational requirements). Time off accrues as follows - Days off: 1.5 days off for every 5.5 days worked. Annual leave - 1 day for every 17 days worked. ????? ?? ????
