Live-out Position A prestigious luxury restaurant in the Winelands, Western Cape is seeking an experienced and creative Head Chef to lead its culinary team. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate culinary professional to take full leadership of a high-performing kitchen and deliver exceptional dining experiences within a refined hospitality environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation. You will lead, train, and inspire the kitchen team while maintaining a strong focus on creativity, efficiency, and excellence in execution. Key responsibilities include managing all kitchen operations and service delivery, developing and maintaining innovative menus aligned with the restaurant’s concept, and ensuring consistency and quality across all dishes. You will oversee stock control, ordering, supplier relationships, and kitchen budgeting while ensuring cost efficiency and waste management. You will also be responsible for maintaining strict food hygiene, health, and safety standards, ensuring smooth kitchen operations during service, and collaborating closely with management to enhance the overall guest dining experience and uphold the restaurant’s luxury positioning. The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a Head Chef within a luxury restaurant or fine dining environment, with strong leadership and team management abilities. You must be highly organised, creative, and able to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment. A valid driver’s licence is required.
