Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef for a luxury safari lodge located in the Kruger National Park. This is an exceptional opportunity for a culinary professional who thrives in a remote, high-end hospitality environment and is committed to delivering outstanding dining experiences.
Accommodation: Live-in position
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee all kitchen operations and food production
• Design and implement innovative, high-quality menus in line with lodge standards
• Lead, train, and manage the kitchen team to ensure consistent excellence
• Maintain strict hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards
• Manage stock control, ordering, and food cost efficiency
• Ensure consistent quality, presentation, and guest satisfaction
• Collaborate with management to deliver an elevated dining experience
Requirements
• Proven experience as a Head Chef in a luxury lodge or high-end hospitality environment
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent culinary ability with a focus on fine dining standards
• Ability to work under pressure in a remote environment
• Strong organisational and stock management skills
• Solid understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations
• Passion for hospitality and guest experience
