Job Summary
In order to be considered the following is required:
- At least 5 years’ experience as an IT Manager, with direct reports i.e. skilled in leading teams and growing people
- Mac and Windows experience is essential
- Must have exceptional Mac / Apple / IOS knowledge, including network integration with Office 365 and other applications
- Proactive strategic self-starter with a solution-driven, go-getter mindset to solve problems and continuously improve systems
- Expertise in network and wireless troubleshooting to ensure no drops in service
- Boardrooms and deck plug-and-play setup that communicates across platforms for flawless in-person and interactive hybrid meetings
- Fully understand and drive compliance, cyber security, POPIA
- Oversee internal security checks, camera systems with required confidentiality
- Time flexibility/availability after hours in case of need
- Financial acumen, to propose and manage annual IT budget as well as negotiations with suppliers
- Set up and improve all IT systems, including issuing, tracking and retrieving all company-issued property and all assets’ assessments

- All standard technical skills are essential to manage and maintain hardware, software and licensing requirements
Duties & Responsibilities:
- IT Support (Tasks primarily attended to by the IT support staff, with escalation when required up the chain of command)
- Daily, servicing (Responding, attending and closing) of IT tickets logged through service desk
- Daily, servicing of "walk-in" support requests with special attention to Execs and senior leaders (especially creative department)
- Daily, creation IT tickets of "walk-in" support requests
- Daily tech checks (boardrooms, cameras) each morning and verify operationality
- Ad hoc teck set-up, testing and support for events or client events on the rooftop / deck
- Asset management on service desk
- Onboarding and offboarding users as per HR requests, as well as email signature management and updates for all UGG companies
- Managing of licenses (Adobe, Microsoft, Slack)
- IT team’s daily, checks of backups, escalate to IT Manager on failures
- IT team’s daily, checks of mail flow, escalate to IT Manager on failures
- IT team’s daily, checks of server health and status, escalate to IT Manager on failures
- IT team’s daily, checks on wireless and network, escalate to IT Manager on failures
- Hardware allocation and reassignments (accountable with IT team)
- Basic IT project management (accountable with IT team)
IT Manager Specific:
- 150 users
- Budget and financial tracking
- Project Management IT
- Attend to and prevent possible security breaches
- Roadmap, planning, design and implementation (Business IT)
- Weekly, patch management on all servers where security or critical related
- Attending to IT escalations as per above tasks
- ISO27000 Project
- Information Officer (Information Regulator Liaison, POPIA, PIIA)
- Maintain and update diagrams of Network and Server environment
- Supplier management
- Purchasing
- Upskilling and training IT team and all users as needed
General Deliverables / KPIs:
- Setting the best corporate strategic direction aligned to the business vision.
- Making regular decisions on key strategic issues facing the companies
- Periodically reviewing the companies' overall strategy to ensure that the organizations anticipate and responds to changing business conditions
- Defining core business processes that ensure achievement of the company's objectives
- Preparation and presentation of budgets and quarterly forecasts in relation to all departments
- Negotiation of new and renewal of existing supplier contracts
- Development and active participation in the agency
- Create clear goals for yourself and the team and track these monthly
- Review work performed by the work unit, for accuracy, quantity, timeliness and adherence to prescribed procedures
- Train and counsel subordinates in work procedures, policies and regulations
- Interview potential staff and make recommendations to fill vacancies within your section in accordance with Human Resources provisions if/when relevant
- Actively support and involve team members at the appropriate time to resolve issues
