Hospitality and Outdoor - New Vacancy - Spa Manager A renowned Country Hotel and Wedding Venue in Zululand is seeking an experienced and hands-on Spa Manager / Senior Therapist to lead its hotel spa operation in the heart of northern KwaZulu-Natal. This exciting opportunity is ideal for a passionate therapist who enjoys working directly with guests while taking ownership of the commercial and operational success of a busy spa environment. Unlike a purely administrative management role, this position requires a highly skilled professional who is actively involved in delivering treatments, mentoring therapists, and enhancing the overall guest experience. The successful candidate will oversee daily spa operations, maintain exceptional treatment standards, drive retail and treatment sales, and work closely with hotel departments to maximize guest engagement and spa bookings. The role requires a personable and proactive individual who can build strong guest relationships, identify client needs, and recommend suitable treatments and products confidently and professionally. Candidates should have strong massage, body and facial treatment knowledge, excellent leadership abilities, and a proven background in spa operations and team development. Experience with Dermalogica and/or Terres d'Afrique products will be advantageous. Key Responsibilities Deliver consistently high-quality spa treatments and personalised guest experiences. Engage with guests and recommend suitable treatments and retail products. Collaborate with Reservations, Front Office and Guest Experience teams to increase bookings. Lead; train and develop the therapist team. Maintain exceptional treatment, consultation and product knowledge standards. Manage therapist rosters according to occupancy and demand. Drive spa revenue, profitability and treatment room utilisation. Increase retail sales through guest recommendations and team training. Develop spa packages, promotions and off-peak initiatives. Manage stock control, ordering and monthly stocktakes. Monitor operating costs and product usage. Maintain spa cleanliness and presentation standards. Address guest feedback and resolve service concerns. Support spa marketing initiatives with hotel management. Minimum Requirements Recognised qualification in Beauty Therapy, Spa Therapy, Massage Therapy or Aesthetics. Minimum 3 years' spa or beauty therapy experience. Previous supervisory or management experience. Competent practising therapist comfortable performing treatments regularly. Strong knowledge of massage, facial and body treatments. Excellent guest engagement and communication skills. Ability to recommend treatments and products professionally. Commercial understanding of revenue, stock and profitability management. Strong leadership and staff development skills. Experience with spa booking and reporting systems. Willingness to live and work in Mkuze, KwaZulu-Natal. Legal eligibility to work in South Africa. Experience with Dermalogica and/or Terres d'Afrique advantageous. Benefits Salary: R15,000 - R20,000 per month. Exceptional candidates may receive a higher package. Housing provided. 7% company contribution to Momentum Provident Fund after probation. 50% company contribution to Momentum Medical Aid after probation (if elected). Start Date - ASAP
