Job Summary
The Guest Experience Curator (GEC) is the custodian of all lodges and villas, responsible for co-curating, managing, and caring for the entire guest environment. This role focuses on a number of different tasks and responsibilities ensuring that every guest experience is seamless, intuitive, deeply personal, and aligned with teh company Brand and Standards of Excellence. The GEC is not the primary relationship holder for guests, but rather works with lodge staff, including managers, guides, homekeepers, Banakelis and chefs, to curate and oversee the overall guest experience. Reports to the General Manager and Guest Experience Lead able to stand in as a FOH mangers when needed. Guest Experience • Deliver an exceptional, personalised, and curated guest experience that reflects on guests’ preferences that is Brand aligned. •Work with the guests experience lead, Sales and Marketing teams to curate transformative guest experiences that embody the Singita Feeling years. •Act as the primary point of contact between all departments, collecting relevant information on the guest before, during and after their stay. •Ensuring all guests preferences is correctly captured and that lodges are well prepared to tailor to repeat guests. •Plan; coordinate, and adapt guest activities in line with guest preferences together with other key staff members. •Curate tailored guests experience for special occasions that result in a deep connection lasting memory •Ensure ultimate guest satisfaction through anticipation, attention to detail, and emotional connection. •Food and beverage curation and assistance in the offering of wine / beverages and the culinary experience in line with guests preferences. •Incorporating wellness into guests experiences in a seamless and unobtrusive way to ensure a guest feels connected and rested during their safari •Feedback & Continuous Improvement: Collect and analyses guest feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance the overall experience. •Support the management, training, and development of camp staff. •Foster teamwork and a multi-skilled, collaborative culture. •Actively contribute to a positive, respectful, and inspiring working environment. General Responsibilities •Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in line with operational needs. •Perform additional duties as reasonably requested in support of the business. Skills & Experience •A minimum of 3 years’ work experience – ideally in a well-recognized five-star hotel, or event organisation •Experience across different areas in hospitality is a plus. •A college or university degree/ diploma preferably in Hospitality. •Yoga or Meditation certification is a plus •Exceptional in hospitality trends and luxury travel •Excellent management ability and leadership skills. •Ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic environment. •Ability to work under pressure and act in an emergency. •Excellent coordination and communication skills. •Ability to work as an individual and as a team. •Excellent attention to detail. •Excellent presentation and people skills. •High standards of service excellence and a passion for the industry. •An understanding of the etiquette involved in hosting guests of different cultures. •Exceptional food and beverage knowledge of its preparation and terminology, including An awareness of developments within the food and lodge industries, as well as international trends in hospitality. •Understanding of housekeeping and maintenance procedures. •Financial management ability. •Exceptional English reading, writing, and speaking ability. A second or third language is a plus. •Excellent computer skills. •Valid driver’s license. Working would be 2 months on and 1 month off.
