Safari & Experiences Manager – Luxury Country Hotel & Safari Destination – Zululand Our client, a renowned luxury country hotel and experiential safari destination located in the heart of Zululand, is seeking an experienced Safari & Experiences Manager to lead and grow their safari, boating, and guest experience operations. This is a senior operational management role suited to a passionate hospitality professional with strong leadership ability and a deep appreciation for conservation, sustainability, and authentic guest experiences. Description: The successful candidate will oversee all safari and guest experience operations, including game drives, boat cruises, guided activities, cultural experiences, and outsourced excursions. Working closely with the hotel management team, you will ensure exceptional guest engagement, operational efficiency, safety compliance, and continuous development of the property’s experiential offering. Responsibilities include managing guides and operational teams, coordinating activity schedules, overseeing fleet and boat maintenance, monitoring operational profitability, and implementing high service standards throughout all guest interactions. You will also contribute to sustainability initiatives, conservation partnerships, community engagement projects, and responsible tourism practices aligned with the property’s values. This role requires a dynamic and hands-on leader capable of balancing operational excellence with meaningful guest experiences within a luxury hospitality environment. Requirements: Previous experience managing safari, lodge, or experiential tourism operations Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills Passion for conservation, hospitality, and guest experience Experience managing safari vehicles, boats, or operational assets Valid driver’s licence with PDP essential Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays FGASA qualification, skipper’s licence, or guiding background advantageous Hospitality management experience within boutique or experiential properties preferred Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building abilities
