Our client is a world-renowned luxury game reserve offering an exceptional safari experience across a portfolio of high-end lodge properties. Recognised for their unwavering commitment to guest excellence and natural immersion, they attract a discerning international clientele and set the benchmark for luxury hospitality in the region. This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior culinary leadership role within an iconic African wilderness destination. The successful candidate will provide strategic culinary leadership across multiple lodge properties — developing and driving innovative menus that reflect the unique character of each property while maintaining consistency and exceptional quality throughout the group. The role encompasses full kitchen leadership and team development, HACCP and food safety compliance, food cost management, stock control and procurement standards, as well as close collaboration with lodge management to continuously elevate the guest dining experience to world-class standards. ???????????? · A relevant tertiary qualification in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or a related discipline. · A minimum of 7 years of proven experience at Executive Chef level, with a strong preference for candidates from luxury hospitality environments. · Demonstrated experience overseeing culinary operations across multiple properties or lodge sites simultaneously. · A solid background in 5-star luxury hospitality, with extensive knowledge of international cuisine, fine dining, and contemporary culinary trends. · Proven ability to manage diverse dietary requirements, allergies, and bespoke guest requests with consistency and professionalism. · Comprehensive knowledge of HACCP principles, food safety legislation, hygiene, and sanitation standards. · Exceptional leadership, mentoring, and team development abilities, with experience building and sustaining high-performing kitchen teams. · Strong financial acumen, including experience managing food costs, budgets, stock controls, and wastage reduction programmes. · Willingness and ability to travel between properties as operational requirements demand. · Contactable references essential. ?????? – R40k – R50k with live-in benefits ????? – As soon as possible ➡️ ?????? ???? – Although we appreciate all applications received, we will only reply to those candidates who have the background and experience required for this role.
