Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a warm, professional and highly organised Front Office Lodge Anchor to join the team at a luxury safari lodge in the Sabi Sand.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys engaging with guests while maintaining exceptional administrative and organisational standards behind the scenes. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the Front Office and Reception while delivering a personalised luxury guest experience from arrival through to departure.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and manage seamless check-ins and departures.
  
• Deliver a warm, professional and personalised arrival experience.
  
• Host guests throughout their stay and assist with requests and arrangements.
  
• Coordinate special occasions, honeymoon experiences and individual guest preferences.
  
• Manage daily Front Office and Reception operations.
  
• Prepare guest registration documents, indemnities and operational paperwork.
  
• Process guest payments, accounts and check-outs accurately.
  
• Coordinate room allocations, guest movements, arrivals and departures.
  
• Liaise closely with Reservations regarding booking details and special requests.
  
• Prepare daily reports and maintain accurate guest records.
  
• Assist management with general lodge and operational administration.
  
• Maintain organised and up-to-date filing systems.
  
• Prepare and manage daily gate manifests.
  
• Coordinate transfers with charter operators and transfer companies.
  
• Communicate effectively with reserve gates, security teams and operational departments.
  
• Manage curio shop stock control, sales and daily cash reconciliations.
  
• Monitor stock levels and assist with curio shop ordering.
  
• Ensure the curio shop remains well presented and fully stocked.
  
• Work closely with Housekeeping, Guides, Kitchen and Service teams.
  
• Assist with guest hosting during meal services when required.
  
• Support the management team with the day-to-day operation of the lodge.
  

Requirements

• Previous experience within a luxury safari lodge, boutique hotel or five-star hospitality environment.
  
• Strong Front Office, Guest Relations and administrative experience.
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Warm, confident and professional presentation.
  
• Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
  
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  
• Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  
• Experience with hospitality management systems will be advantageous.
  
• Knowledge of the Benson operating system will be beneficial.
  
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
  
• Genuine passion for hospitality and exceptional guest service.
  
• Valid driver's licence.
  
• Willingness to live and work in a remote lodge environment.
