Front of House / Assistant Manager | Luxury Safari Lodge | Greater Kruger

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a versatile and experienced Front of House / Assistant Manager for a luxury safari lodge in the Greater Kruger area. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a hands-on hospitality professional to support lodge operations, ensure exceptional guest experiences, and relieve the Lodge Manager when required.

The successful candidate will be involved in a wide range of lodge operations, including guest services, housekeeping, laundry, ordering, and basic accounting, while maintaining high standards of service and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Lodge Manager with all aspects of lodge operations
  
• Oversee front of house activities, ensuring a seamless guest experience
  
• Manage housekeeping, laundry, and general lodge maintenance as required
  
• Support ordering, stock control, and basic accounting tasks
  
• Act as the Manager’s deputy, relieving them during leave periods
  
• Ensure compliance with lodge operational standards and guest service expectations
  
• Motivate and manage staff, fostering a positive and productive working environment
  
• Address guest queries, requests, and feedback promptly and professionally
  
• Participate in training and development of lodge staff
  
• Monitor daily operations to ensure smooth service delivery
  

Requirements:

• Proven experience in lodge operations, hospitality management, or a similar role
  
• Strong interpersonal and people management skills
  
• Ability to work independently and make operational decisions
  
• Knowledge of housekeeping, laundry, and general lodge procedures
  
• Basic accounting and administrative skills
  
• Flexibility to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  
• Positive attitude, reliable, and guest service-oriented
  
• Available to work on a 3/1 week cycle 
  
• Immediate availability preferred, ideally from 1 April
