Front Desk Attendant (Opera PMS Experience Essential) About the Role We are seeking a professional, experienced, and customer-focused Front Desk Attendant to join our hospitality team. This role is best suited to candidates who have previously worked in a 4-star or 5-star hotel, luxury lodge, boutique hotel, or premium hospitality environment and are confident using the Opera Property Management System (PMS). The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service, managing front office operations efficiently, and ensuring a seamless guest experience from arrival to departure. Key Responsibilities Guest Services & Reception Welcome guests in a professional and friendly manner. Manage guest check-ins and check-outs accurately and efficiently. Handle reservations, room allocations, and guest requests. Provide information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions. Resolve guest queries, complaints, and special requests promptly and professionally. Maintain high standards of guest satisfaction at all times. Opera PMS & Reservations Process reservations, amendments, cancellations, and room assignments using Opera PMS. Ensure guest profiles and reservation details are accurately maintained. Monitor room availability and occupancy levels. Coordinate with housekeeping and other departments regarding room status and guest requirements. Prepare daily reports and maintain accurate front office records. Front Office Administration Handle cash, card transactions, and daily reconciliations. Maintain accurate billing and guest account records. Ensure compliance with hotel policies and procedures. Assist with switchboard operations and guest communications. Support the Front Office Manager with administrative duties as required. Guest Experience & Hospitality Standards Deliver service in line with luxury hospitality standards. Anticipate guest needs and provide personalized service. Promote hotel facilities and services to enhance the guest experience. Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times. Minimum Requirements Minimum 2–3 years’ experience as a Front Desk Attendant, Receptionist, or Front Office Agent in a 4-star or 5-star hotel, luxury lodge, boutique hotel, or similar hospitality establishment. Proven hands-on experience using Opera PMS is essential. Strong understanding of front office procedures and hospitality operations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong administrative and organizational abilities. Ability to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and evenings when required. Professional presentation and customer-service orientation. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Essential Screening Criteria Applications will only be considered if candidates meet the following requirements: Recent experience in a 4-star or 5-star hotel, lodge, resort, or luxury hospitality environment. Practical working knowledge of Opera PMS. Proven front office or reception experience within the hospitality industry. Strong guest relations and customer service skills. Candidates without Opera PMS experience or relevant hotel/lodge front office experience will not be considered. Advantageous Skills Experience in luxury hospitality or game lodges. Knowledge of hotel reservation systems and channel management. Multilingual abilities. Experience handling international guests. Hospitality or Tourism qualification.
