Job Summary
Our Client, in the Manufacturing and Wholesale Industry; is seeking to employ an experienced ERP Master Data Controller to their team based in Boksburg, Kempton Park.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or related field (preferred)
- 2–3 years’ experience in a manufacturing ERP environment
- Hands-on experience maintaining BOMs and routings
- Exposure to formal engineering change control processes
- ERP system experience (Infor LN advantageous; SAP, Oracle, or similar acceptable)
Responsibilities:
- Create, maintain, and control Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, and item master data within the ERP system
- Ensure ERP master data accurately reflects approved engineering designs and validated production processes
- Maintain strict version control and audit trails for all ERP master data changes
- Process Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) in accordance with company change-management procedures
- Coordinate with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to ensure correct and timely implementation of approved changes in the ERP system
- Validate the accuracy and timely release of approved engineering and production changes
- Capture, analyse, and review actual production data including times, quantities, yields, and scrap
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between standard and actual production values
- Update ERP master data based on approved and validated production feedback
- Act as the data owner for manufacturing master data within the ERP system
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness across all manufacturing records
- Identify, investigate, and correct data issues impacting costing, planning, and execution
- Liaise with Engineering, Production, Planning, Procurement, and Finance departments
- Provide ERP and master data support to planners and production teams
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data quality and process efficiency
