Job Summary
Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and commercially minded Finance Manager to join a well-established luxury travel and hospitality business. This is a varied, hands-on finance role suited to someone who enjoys working across operational finance, reconciliations, reporting, compliance and financial controls. The successful candidate will work closely with reservations, sales, commercial and finance teams, providing reliable financial support while ensuring that processes, reporting and controls remain accurate and efficient. Key Responsibilities Review and authorise supplier reconciliations and payments, including foreign suppliers. Prepare and review bank and balance sheet reconciliations. Manage month-end financial processes and ensure deadlines are consistently met. Prepare management accounts, forecasts and budgets. Oversee VAT calculations, submissions and related queries. Review refunds, commissions and financial transactions in line with company policies and regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers and supporting schedules. Assist with revenue, cost of sales and transactional accounting. Monitor credit card expenditure, claims and financial provisions. Support debtor management and assist in identifying areas of financial risk. Participate in interim and year-end audits and internal financial reviews. Maintain and continuously review internal financial controls. Resolve complex finance queries from internal teams and external suppliers. Take responsibility for Tourplan financial transaction flows, reporting and month-end processes. Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency across the finance function. Provide financial support and guidance to operational, reservations, sales and commercial teams. Candidate Requirements Relevant Accounting qualification, Diploma or Degree. Approximately 3–5 years' relevant finance/accounting experience . Previous experience within travel; tourism or hospitality would be highly advantageous. Strong working knowledge of Tourplan is preferred. Advanced competence in Microsoft Excel and general MS Office applications. Strong reconciliation, reporting and analytical skills. Good understanding of financial controls and accounting processes. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Confident communicator who is comfortable working with multiple departments and stakeholders. Able to prioritise effectively and work to strict financial deadlines. Practical; solutions-driven and comfortable taking ownership of problems through to resolution.
