A fast paced driven trucking Company is seeking a Red Seal Qualified Truck Mechanic to maintain, diagnose, and repair heavy-duty trucks and trailers to ensure fleet reliability, safety, and compliance. The successful candidate will be hands-on, safety-focused, and experienced with preventative maintenance and complex mechanical repairs.

Key Responsibilities
Diagnose, service, and repair heavy-duty trucks and other commercial vehicles
Perform preventative maintenance inspections (PMIs) in line with manufacturer and legal standards
Repair and overhaul diesel engines, transmissions, differentials, brakes, suspension, and steering systems
Conduct electrical and electronic fault-finding
Inspect vehicles for roadworthiness and safety compliance
Complete job cards, service reports, and maintenance records accurately
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
Respond to breakdowns and emergency repairs when required
Liaise with workshop supervisors, fleet managers, and parts departments
Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean workshop environment
Minimum Requirements
Red Seal Trade Certificate (Truck / Diesel Mechanic) – Essential
Proven experience working on heavy-duty commercial vehicles
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
Knowledge of air brake systems and suspension
Ability to read technical manuals and schematics
Valid driver’s licence (Code C or higher preferred)
Willingness to work overtime or shifts when required
Preferred Skills & Experience
Experience with fleet maintenance or logistics operations
Exposure to OEM diagnostic tools
Welding or fabrication skills (advantageous)
Strong time management and problem-solving ability
Ability to work independently and under pressure
