A fast logistics company is seeking a Red Seal Qualified Truck Mechanic (Heavy Duty) to provide hands-on workshop support in the servicing, maintenance, and repair of heavy commercial vehicles and trailers. This role supports senior mechanics and workshop operations while ensuring safety, quality, and fleet reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Support workshop operations through servicing and repair of heavy-duty trucks and trailers

Perform preventative maintenance inspections (PMIs) to manufacturer and legal standards

Diagnose and repair diesel engines, braking systems, suspension, steering, and driveline components

Conduct electrical and electronic fault-finding
-
Assist senior mechanics with major overhauls and rebuilds
-
Inspect vehicles for roadworthiness and compliance
-
Complete job cards, service records, and maintenance documentation accurately

Maintain workshop tools, equipment, and cleanliness
-
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
-
Assist with breakdowns and emergency repairs when required
Minimum Requirements
-
Red Seal Trade Certificate – Truck / Diesel Mechanic
-
Proven experience on heavy-duty commercial vehicles
-
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
-
Knowledge of air brake systems
-
Valid driver’s licence (Code C or higher preferred)

Willingness to work shifts, overtime, or standby
Preferred Experience & Skills

Fleet, logistics, or transport workshop experience

Exposure to OEM diagnostic tools

Welding or fabrication skills (advantageous)
