Executive Housekeeper - Ultra-Luxury Exclusive-Use Safari Villa - Greater Kruger Kendrick Recruitment is searching for an exceptional, hands-on Executive Housekeeper for one of South Africa's most exclusive private safari villas - a five-suite, exclusive-use property in the Greater Kruger, currently embarking on an exciting new chapter following a major reimagining of the entire guest experience. This is not a desk or clipboard role. The property operates with a small, tight-knit team and the Executive Housekeeper is expected to work actively in the rooms and suites alongside the team - leading by example, delivering an impeccable standard and taking full personal ownership of the housekeeping function. At a property of this calibre, the detail in a room tells the whole story. We need someone who feels that deeply. Minimum Requirements: Minimum 3 to 5 years' housekeeping experience specifically within a 5-star luxury lodge environment - essential Previous Executive or Head Housekeeper experience in a 5* lodge or boutique hotel Hands-on and genuinely willing to work in rooms, not just manage - essential and non-negotiable Impeccable eye for detail at the ultra-luxury level Strong knowledge of laundry operations, linen management, chemical handling and product care Experience in same-day laundry turnaround for high-end guests Ability to manage and develop a small housekeeping team Comfortable with SOP development and upholding brand standards independently Experience with high-value décor, artworks and bespoke furnishings advantageous Excellent communication skills and a professional, warm demeanour Comfortable living and working in a remote, live-in bush environment Stable work history with outstanding, contactable references - non-negotiable Key Responsibilities: Take full ownership of the housekeeping function across all five suites and villa spaces Work actively in rooms and suites alongside the team, maintaining hands-on involvement in daily service delivery Ensure an impeccable standard of cleanliness, presentation, turndown and room readiness at all times Manage same-day laundry operations to the highest standard Maintain and develop housekeeping SOPs aligned to the property's ultra-luxury positioning Manage housekeeping stock, supplies, chemicals and linen inventory Train; mentor and lead the small housekeeping team Liaise closely with the lodge manager and other departments to ensure seamless guest arrivals and departures Ensure full compliance with health, safety and hygiene standards Package: Highly competitive and flexible salary for the right candidate Live-in: Accommodation and meals provided Should you feel you are the right fit for this role, please apply with your updated CV, contactable references and a recent head and shoulders photo ASAP! ?
