Our client is a renowned luxury game reserve offering an immersive, world-class hospitality experience set within one of South Africa’s most breathtaking natural environments. With multiple dining outlets and a strong culture of culinary excellence, they are seeking an exceptional culinary leader to elevate their food and beverage offering and drive innovation across all aspects of the kitchen operation. Reporting to the Head of Hospitality, the Executive Chef will take full ownership of culinary operations – from menu development and recipe standardisation to kitchen management, food safety compliance, and team leadership. The successful candidate will oversee food production across all dining outlets, room service, events, and special functions, while upholding the impeccable 5-star standards that define the guest experience. This role carries direct financial responsibility for food costing, stock control, and budget compliance. ➡️ A food portfolio must accompany your application ???????????? · Formal culinary qualification at diploma level or higher. · Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an Executive Chef or senior Head Chef role, preferably within a luxury lodge, hotel, or high-end hospitality environment. · Demonstrated ability to maintain and elevate 5-star culinary standards across multiple outlets. · Sound knowledge of HACCP principles and Food Safety Management Systems. · Proven experience in menu development, recipe standardisation, and culinary concept innovation. · Strong financial acumen, with a solid track record in food costing, stock control, and budget management. · Excellent leadership and people management skills, with proven success in developing and mentoring kitchen teams. · Strong planning and organisational ability, with experience managing high-volume production for events, functions, and conferences. · Computer literate; experience with TallOrder or a similar POS system will be advantageous. · Extensive knowledge of food and wine. · Contactable references essential. ?????? – Market related ????? – ASAP ➡️ ?????? ???? – Although we appreciate all applications received, we will only reply to those candidates who have the background and experience required.
