Duty Manager | Luxury Lodge | KZN
Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an energetic, reliable and hands-on Duty Manager for a luxury lodge in KwaZulu-Natal. This is an excellent opportunity for an adaptable hospitality professional looking to develop their skills across all aspects of lodge operations.
Location: KwaZulu-Natal
Salary: R9,000 negotiable, depending on experience
Benefits: Live-in accommodation, meals included and provident fund.
The successful candidate will support the Lodge Manager and Assistant Lodge Manager with the day-to-day running of the lodge and will gain exposure to a wide range of operational responsibilities. They must be confident handling in-camp issues, able to use their initiative and comfortable working independently and under pressure.
As this is a small team working closely together, a friendly, positive and energetic demeanour is essential. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, willing to get involved across all areas of the lodge and able to work confidently and respectfully with staff while maintaining clear professional boundaries.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of previous experience in a similar Duty Manager or hospitality management role.
- Valid driver's licence.
- Valid First Aid Level 1 is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure.
- Confident and respectful staff management skills.
- Energetic, hands-on and eager to learn.
- Adaptable and willing to assist across all areas of lodge operations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- A positive attitude and genuine passion for hospitality.
- Willingness to live and work within a small, close-knit team.
