This role requires strong administrative skills, lodge experience, and proficiency in Opera, with the ability to oversee daily operations and deliver exceptional guest service in a remote safari environment. ? Package & Benefits Salary: R20,000 – R25,000 per month (depending on experience) ? Location: Northern KwaZulu‑Natal ? Live‑in position ? Meals included ? Uniform provided ? Key Responsibilities Act as the senior operational representative during assigned shifts Ensure seamless guest experiences from arrival to departure Handle guest feedback, complaints, and special requests with professionalism Oversee lodge operations across Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Guiding, and Maintenance Conduct daily briefings and shift handovers Supervise staff on duty, ensuring correct appearance, conduct, and service etiquette Support training, mentoring, and development of junior team members Uphold health, safety, and environmental standards, including wildlife safety protocols Act as first responder during emergencies and ensure accurate incident reporting Complete daily operational reports, guest records, and handover notes Assist with stock control, cost awareness, and cash handling where applicable Liaise with Reservations and Head Office regarding guest movements and requirements ✅ Minimum Requirements Strong administrative skills with Opera system experience (essential) Previous lodge experience in a luxury safari environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Calm; professional, and solutions‑driven under pressure Strong leadership and organisational abilities Valid driver’s licence Cultural sensitivity and emotional intelligence ✨ This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Duty Manager to join a luxury lodge in Northern KwaZulu‑Natal, ensuring world‑class guest experiences and operational excellence. ?
