Job Summary
Luxury Hospitality Group with offices based in Dar es Salaam and Arusha is looking for a Corporate Procurement Manager (Operations) to oversee the groups purchasing strategies ; ensuring cost efficiency, vendor reliability ; and seamless supply chain flow. You will be responsible for lead sourcing, negotiate contracts ; and align procurement policies with business objectives to minimize operational disruptions. Duties: Strategic Sourcing & Procurement: Develop and execute end-to-end procurement strategies aligned with company goals. Conduct spend analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and areas for bulk buying. Manage vendor lifecycles, including sourcing, tender evaluations, and supplier selection. [ 1 ; 2 ] Operations & Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate with internal operations, production, and finance teams to forecast supply needs and avoid shortages. Oversee the purchasing of raw materials, operational supplies, and services. Implement inventory management and process improvements to optimize daily workflow efficiencies. Contract Negotiation & Compliance: Lead high-level contract negotiations to secure favourable terms, pricing, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Ensure all purchasing activities comply with corporate policies, health and safety regulations, and legal standards. Mitigate supply chain risks by developing contingency plans and alternative sourcing strategies. Supplier & Team Management: Monitor and evaluate supplier performance for quality, delivery speed, and cost-competitiveness. Build and maintain long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with key strategic vendors. Lead; mentor, and develop the procurement team to ensure high productivity and operational excellence. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, or a related field. At least 5 to 8 years of progressive experience in procurement or supply chain operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity. Experience in procurement of multi-property organization Experience in East African essential, experience in Tanzania will be an advantage Strong commercial acumen, exceptional negotiation and analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders Ability to negotiate contracts. IT knowledge (Materials Control systems) In debt knowledge in FMCG especially those related to hospitality (including F&B).
