Reporting directly to the CEO and forming part of the executive leadership team, the Chief Digital Officer will define and execute the organisation’s end-to-end digital strategy. This role will drive innovation, platform modernisation, new product development and scalable digital growth initiatives while embedding digital capability across the business.

What You’ll Do
Digital Strategy and Transformation
Develop and execute a comprehensive digital strategy aligned to growth objectives
Lead the transition from traditional delivery models to integrated digital learning and content platforms
Identify and implement emerging technologies that enhance engagement and learning outcomes
Drive enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives
Product and Platform Innovation
Lead the design and rollout of scalable digital products and learning solutions
Transform existing intellectual property into commercially viable digital offerings
Oversee digital customer and user experience design
Expand and optimise digital platforms and ecosystems
Commercial and Market Growth
Identify new digital revenue streams and monetisation models
Support market expansion through digital channels
Build strategic partnerships across technology, education and innovation sectors
Leadership and Stakeholder Engagement
Partner with the CEO and executive team to embed digital capability across the organisation
Lead and develop internal digital and product teams
Champion a culture of innovation, agility and data-driven decision-making
Engage with external partners and industry stakeholders
What You Bring
Proven experience leading large-scale digital transformation programmes
Strong background in building digital platforms, products or technology-enabled services
Demonstrated success modernising legacy business models
Commercially successful delivery of digital solutions
Executive or senior leadership experience
Strong change leadership and stakeholder engagement capability
Highly Advantageous
Experience in education, publishing, content, learning technologies or digital media
Experience building or scaling learner or customer engagement platforms
Exposure to AI, data analytics or adaptive learning technologies
Experience operating in African or emerging markets
