Lodge Manager | Luxury Safari Lodge | Greater Kruger

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Lodge Manager for a luxury safari lodge in the Greater Kruger area. This role offers the opportunity to lead all aspects of lodge operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, efficient management, and a motivated, high-performing team.

The successful candidate will oversee all operational areas of the lodge, from guest services and housekeeping to reservations, staff management, and financial oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all lodge operations, including guest services, housekeeping, laundry, and front-of-house staff
  
• Plan and manage staffing schedules, ensuring adequate coverage and efficient operations
  
• Manage reservations, guest bookings, and enquiries professionally
  
• Develop and oversee menu planning in collaboration with the culinary team
  
• Handle stock management, procurement, and inventory control
  
• Maintain bookkeeping and financial records for lodge operations
  
• Ensure high standards of service, cleanliness, and operational efficiency
  
• Lead, train, and motivate lodge staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment
  
• Implement policies and procedures to maintain consistency and quality across the lodge
  
• Address guest feedback, complaints, and special requests promptly
  
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and operational standards
  
• Report on operational performance and implement improvements where required
  

Requirements:

• Proven experience in lodge or hospitality management, ideally within a luxury safari lodge
  
• Excellent people management and leadership skills
  
• Strong organisational, administrative, and operational abilities
  
• Financial acumen and experience in stock and staff management
  
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing environments
  
• Exceptional interpersonal and guest service skills
  
• Senior-level experience, with a professional and proactive approach
  
• Willingness to work on a 3/1 week cycle
