Job Description:
A Finance Corporation is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Officer to join our team in Rosebank. This full-time, in-office role will play a crucial part in driving business growth through strategic sales initiatives and financial analysis.
Duties:
• New business development for both Asset and Finance Corporation.
• Client liaison and relationship management.
• Supplier and partner liaison.
• Assessing and analysing client information for funding applications.
• Conducting thorough financial analysis and assessment of credit requests, including new facilities, amendments, refinances and due diligence.
• Preparing and presenting financial analysis, findings and recommendations to management, particularly relating to borrower affordability and repayment ability.
• Managing the full sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure.
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with internal credit policies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to identify opportunities and risks.
• Develop and implement effective sales strategies to promote the company's financial products.
• Monitor and analyse financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with team members and customers to understand their financial needs.
• Maintain precise financial records for reporting purposes.
• Provide valuable financial advice to support decision-making processes.
• Stay updated on market trends and industry developments.
Applicant Requirements:
• Business Development: 2 to 3 years’ experience within asset finance or financial services.
• Financials: 2 to 3 years’ experience in financial analysis / credit assessment.
• Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• High attention to detail and strong documentation standards.
• BCom in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or similar.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial systems.
• Knowledge of asset finance and/or aviation finance is advantageous.
Beneficial Skills:
• Ability to think strategically and contribute to business development initiatives.
• Demonstrated analytical skills and a keen understanding of financial concepts.
• Effective communication skills to interact with team members and clients company’s success and client outcomes.
