Hospitality and Outdoor- New Vacancy- Resort General Manager 4* Luxury Resort – Mpumalanga Iconic luxury resort in Mpumalanga is looking for their new General Manager to drive revenue and reach new heights! Experience in a similar role is a must to cope in this fast paced environment. Requirements · A business degree, hotel or hospitality management qualification is essential · Have a minimum of 10 years hospitality experience, of which at least 5 years should have been at a senior operations management level in a 4* multi-faceted resort environment · Timeshare experience within a resort is a huge benefit · Business minded with strong operations and revenue system improvement experience · Strong financial acumen- Able to complete the full daily financial function- reports, budgets, debtors, creditors, forecasts, etc · Advanced Computer Literacy- Extensive experience in PMS and POS systems · Strong leadership skills with critical attention to detail in standards · Excellent overall knowledge in hotel operations · Experience in Sales and Marketing- Can drive a creative concept forward and market on all relevant platforms · Experience in Health and Safety Compliance and can manage the full function of the HR department · Extremely hands on, leads from the front type, doesn’t hide in the office! · Valid driver’s license · Fluent in both English and Afrikaans (Verbal and Written) · Only South African citizens and foreign Nationals with Valid work permits for South Africa will be considered Key Responsibilities · Ensures the smooth running of the hotel, where all areas of the business are managed and the guest service experience is delivered to the highest levels · Working proactively with all key stakeholders to maximize guest satisfaction and comfort, delivering a positive and responsive approach to enquiries and problem resolution. · Develops and implements strategies where key hotel metrics are identified, communicated and delivered · Driver of the hotel budget, business and sales plan, ensuring that all areas of the business are controlled. Reviews and scrutinizes business activities, objectives and best practices, providing recommendations that will drive financial performance and provide added value · Ensures adherence and compliance to all legislation where due diligence requirements and best practice activities are planned, delivered and documented for internal and external audit, performing follow-up as required · Proven experience in general management with strong problem-solving capabilities · Personal integrity, with the ability to work in an environment that demands excellence, time and energy · Experienced in using IT systems on various platforms · Strong communication skills Package on offer · Salary: R45 000 – R50 000 D.O.E · Accommodation with company benefits Starting Date: ASAP
