Now Hiring Assistant Maintenance Manager | Luxury Lodge | Touws River, Western Cape About the Opportunity Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced and proactive Assistant Maintenance Manager to join a luxury lodge in Touws River. This hands-on role is responsible for supporting all maintenance operations, ensuring safety compliance, managing projects and contractors, and overseeing the lodge's facilities and equipment. Key Requirements • Matric • Relevant maintenance qualifications and certificates • Valid driver's licence • First Aid Level 3 certification • Strong knowledge of building maintenance and safety compliance • Firefighting experience (Crew Leader/Crew Boss, including grass fires) • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, transformers, and generators Key Responsibilities • Assist the Maintenance Manager in overseeing operations across buildings, accommodation, public areas, and equipment • Manage projects, contractors, and budgets efficiently • Ensure compliance with OHS standards, fire regulations, and safety protocols • Control stock, tools, and procurement processes • Oversee fleet management, servicing, and reporting • Supervise and develop maintenance staff performance and capabilities • Maintain high standards of operational and environmental safety within the lodge Candidate Profile • A proactive, solutions-driven individual who leads by example, thrives in a fast-paced hospitality setting, and takes ownership of all maintenance and operational responsibilities Package • Salary: R20,000 per month • Live-In accommodation provided Please note that only candidates who meet the minimum requirements will be contacted.
