Salary: R38 000 – R40 000 | Live In | 21 Days On, 7 Days Off Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Lodge Manager for a luxury five star game lodge in the Greater Kruger. This is a career defining opportunity for a strong leader who lives for guest delight, thrives in the bush and knows how to run a seamless operation from front to back of house. The successful candidate will act as Lodge Manager in their absence and take full responsibility for Front of House, Housekeeping and Maintenance teams. This role calls for a natural leader who can inspire, motivate and guide diverse teams while ensuring world class standards are consistently delivered. Key Focus Areas: • Full oversight of Front of House including reception, guest hosting, banking, reports and guest feedback systems • Housekeeping management including room checks, standards, uniforms and staff leadership • Maintenance oversight including preventative schedules, staff accommodation and hands on understanding of electrical, refrigeration, air conditioning, pool care and general upkeep • Health and Safety leadership including risk assessments and fire procedures • Financial management including budgeting, monthly reports and expense control • HR duties including staff development, training, leave cycles and morale • Guest hosting, bush banqueting and ensuring exceptional safari experiences • Building strong relationships with guests, suppliers and stakeholders Requirements: • Minimum 5 years management experience within a five star boutique lodge or Big Five reserve • Hospitality management qualification • Strong operational and financial experience • Room division experience • Practical maintenance knowledge • High emotional intelligence • Strong IT and administrative skills • Valid driver’s licence and own transport essential Package: • R38 000 – R40 000 per month • Live in position with meals on duty • Staff lodge nights • 21 days on, 7 days off cycle • 15 days annual leave This role requires a confident communicator with strong leadership skills, attention to detail and a genuine passion for people, wildlife and exceptional service. ?
