? Assistant Lodge Manager – Luxury Safari Camp ? Greater Kruger ? Salary: R38,000 – R40,000 | Live-in Role Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Lodge Manager for a luxury safari camp in Greater Kruger. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to act as the Lodge Manager in their absence, lead multiple lodge departments, and ensure world-class guest experiences. ? Minimum Requirements: • Minimum 5 years’ management experience in a 5-star boutique lodge or Big 5 reserve environment • Hospitality Management qualification • Strong operational and financial experience • Practical maintenance knowledge • High emotional intelligence and leadership ability • Room division and safari operations experience • Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport ? Key Responsibilities: Acting Leadership • Act as Lodge Manager in their absence • Take full responsibility for multiple lodge departments Front of House • Lead and inspire the FOH team • Maintain the Pan FOH system • Oversee arrival reports, rooming lists, day sheets • Supervise reception, curio shop, and switchboard • Manage guest banking, invoices, gratuities • Conduct site inspections and ensure “show time” standards • Manage guest feedback via Centricity Feedback system Housekeeping • Lead and inspire the Housekeeping team • Maintain exceptional housekeeping standards • Conduct room and turndown spot checks • Manage staff uniform control Lodge Maintenance • Lead the Maintenance team and supervise operations • Coordinate with Reserve Maintenance Manager • Oversee preventative maintenance, staff accommodation, gardens, pools, and vehicles • Ensure proper knowledge of electrical, refrigeration, air-conditioning, pest control, and firefighting equipment Health & Safety • Head the Lodge Health & Safety Committee • Conduct risk assessments and oversee drills • Maintain a safe working environment for all staff Finance & Budgeting • Compile monthly reports and manage budget lines • Contribute to annual budgeting process and monthly finance meetings Human Resources & Team Development • Lead staff development, training, and welfare • Manage leave cycles and training files • Maintain positive relationships with local community, owners, and suppliers Guest Experience & Operations • Knowledge of F&B operations and bush banqueting • Host guests and resolve feedback promptly • Assist Head/Senior Rangers and participate in safari activities ?
