As we enter an exciting new phase of growth, we're looking for an experienced Store Manager to lead our flagship store in Somerset West and help shape the operational standards for our future locations.

Your Responsibilities

As our Store Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of our Somerset West store, ensuring that every customer receives an outstanding experience while maintaining the highest operational standards.

Your responsibilities include:

• Delivering exceptional customer service and creating memorable customer experiences
  
• Leading the FOH by example
  
• Managing daily store operations
  
• Conducting cash-ups and making sure everything is accurate 
  
• Managing stock control and regular stock takes
  
• Placing orders and managing inventory levels
  
• Accept deliveries from suppliers and ensuring everything is correct
  
• Ensuring excellent presentation and cleanliness throughout the store and the coffee-shop at all times
  
• Managing staff schedules and leave planning
  
• Training and onboarding new team members in line with our culture
  
• Implementing and maintaining company procedures and service standards
  
• Assisting with basic administrative and bookkeeping tasks
  
• Resolving customer concerns professionally
  
• Monitoring store performance and identifying opportunities for improvement
  
• Working closely with the founders to continuously improve systems and operations
  

What We're Looking For

Essential Requirements

• 3-5+ years' experience managing a retail, bakery, café or hospitality business
  
• Proven leadership and people management experience
  
• Strong customer service and hospitality background
  
• Experience conducting stock takes and inventory management
  
• Confident with daily cash-ups
  
• Comfortable with basic bookkeeping and administrative tasks
  
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  
• Excellent communication skills
  
• Ability to work independently and take ownership
  
• High attention to detail
  
• Positive, professional and solution-oriented attitude
  

Bonus Qualifications

• Bakery or artisan food experience
  
• Multi-site management experience
  
• Hospitality management qualification
  
• Experience developing SOPs and training programmes
  
• HR or recruitment experience
  
• Familiarity with POS and cloud-based business systems
