Kendrick Recruitment is recruiting a Sous / Café Chef for a brand new Italian restaurant in Somerset West. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on chef who is passionate about Italian cuisine and wants to play a key role in a restaurant’s opening and menu development.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the kitchen, developing the menu, and ensuring an exceptional dining experience for guests across breakfast, lunch, and early dinner service.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all kitchen operations
Assist with menu and concept development for the new restaurant
Prepare high-quality dishes for breakfast, lunch, and early dinner service
Interact with guests and maintain excellent service standards
Ensure the kitchen operates efficiently and adheres to hygiene and safety standards
Manage a 60-seater dining experience effectively
Requirements
Proven experience in a chef role, preferably within Italian or European cuisine
Strong leadership and kitchen management skills
Passion for culinary creativity and menu development
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver excellent service
Strong communication skills and ability to interact with guests
