Purchasing & Procurement Manager – Sabi Sand Nature Reserve, Mpumalanga Introduction A prestigious luxury lodge in the Sabi Sand Nature Reserve, Mpumalanga ; is seeking an experienced Purchasing & Procurement Manager to lead all procurement and purchasing functions within a high‑end hospitality environment. This is a rare opportunity for a detail‑driven professional to oversee sourcing, supplier management, stock control, and cost‑efficiency strategies in one of South Africa’s most iconic safari destinations. As a key member of the management team, you will ensure the seamless flow of goods and services essential to delivering an exceptional guest experience while upholding strict operational and financial standards. Job Requirements Minimum 5 years’ experience in procurement or purchasing ; ideally within the 5-star hospitality sector. Strong computer literacy: Excel, Word, Outlook, Internet, PowerPoint, Sage X3; HMS Infor advantageous. Excellent numerical, analytical, budgeting, and reporting skills. Exceptional written and verbal English communication. Hands‑on leadership approach with the ability to manage a small team. Strong organisational, administrative, and prioritisation abilities. High attention to detail, accuracy, accountability, and integrity. Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to remote bush‑life conditions. Culturally sensitive, professional, proactive, and solutions‑driven. Oversee procurement policies, compliance, supplier selection, and contract management. Manage supplier relationships, credit applications, and service delivery. Lead end‑to‑end purchasing processes and ensure uninterrupted supply of critical items. Oversee stock management, monthly stock takes, and cost‑control initiatives. Responsible for multiple stores: perishables, consumables, stationery, maintenance, beverages, chemicals, and operating equipment. Produce accurate monthly procurement, stock, and cost‑performance reports.
