NOW HIRING: Human Capital Manager | Luxury Lodge Collection | Sandton, Gauteng About the Opportunity Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a dynamic and highly organised Human Capital Manager to join the Human Capital team of a luxury lodge collection, based at the company's head office in Sandton, Gauteng. This is a generalist role responsible for the operational implementation of core Human Capital projects across the South African offices, with a strong focus on employee experience, culture, wellbeing, compliance and operational excellence. The role calls for a self-motivated, current-thinking and highly organised individual with strong people skills and emotional intelligence, able to drive, motivate and inspire staff to engage with a range of projects and the company's wellness programme, while maintaining the structure and proactive planning needed to respond flexibly to the last-minute needs of the business. Key Responsibilities • Champion the company's culture and values, and act as a custodian of the brand and employee experience, including developing and distributing employee communications. • Advise, guide and support management on employee relations matters, including counselling, disciplinary, incapacity and grievance processes, in line with labour legislation. • Coordinate and maintain Employment Equity processes and statutory reporting requirements, and support training reporting compliance and work permit monitoring for the region. • Serve as the Human Capital representative on Health & Safety matters, coordinating training, audits, reporting and emergency procedures. • Support recruitment administration, onboarding and induction, ensuring all documentation, systems and equipment are in place before new starters join. • Coordinate resignations, retirements and exits, including exit interviews, trend analysis and offboarding. • Coordinate learning and development initiatives, including cross-training, policy training and culture sessions, as well as performance appraisal outputs and recognition programmes. • Coordinate employee wellness events, functions and celebrations, managing logistics, communication, supplier coordination and budgets. • Support office and facilities management, including access, parking and general employee facilities, liaising with building management and service providers. • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual Human Capital reports, manage Human Capital data, and monitor budgets. • Support and coordinate intern placements in liaison with the central Human Capital team. Key Requirements • Degree or diploma in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Human Capital Management, Business Administration or a related field advantageous. • Minimum 5 years' experience in a Human Capital generalist role, ideally within luxury hospitality or a similar service industry. • Strong Industrial Relations and Employee Relations experience, with knowledge of South African labour legislation. • Experience in recruitment, learning & development and employee engagement advantageous. • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams). • Experience managing multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously. • People-focused, with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, high emotional intelligence and strong relationship-building ability. • Highly organised, self-motivated, proactive and resilient, with exceptional attention to detail. • Professional, trustworthy and discreet, with strong problem-solving ability.
