Job Summary
The Commercial Executive exists to drive the commercial success and long-term growth of the group. This role leads revenue generation, commercial strategy and market positioning across the portfolio. It ensures revenue, distribution, reservations and commercial systems operate in alignment to deliver strong and sustainable performance. This role connects strategy with execution. It ensures commercial platforms, reporting tools and revenue systems support business goals and enable informed decision-making. Through strong system governance and commercial leadership, this role improves outcomes for guests, partners and the business. Success in this role means building a commercial function that is proactive, aligned and consistently improving performance. What you’ll do? (a.k.a KPEs) • Leads the Group’s commercial strategy and revenue direction. Develop and implement commercial strategies aligned with the COO and group growth objectives. Drive revenue performance across accommodation, Food and Beverage (F&B), events and ancillary streams, ensuring achievement of commercial targets and sustained revenue and profitability growth. Lead pricing, packaging and promotional strategies to strengthen market positioning. Monitor market trends, competitor activity and demand patterns to inform decisions. Present clear commercial insights and recommendations to executive leadership • Oversee and improve commercial performance across the portfolio. Support forecasting and budgeting processes to ensure accurate planning. Monitor key performance indicators including RevPAR, ADR, occupancy, conversion and overall commercial target achievement. Identify risks and performance gaps and implement corrective actions. Optimise sales and distribution channels to maximise revenue contribution. Ensure performance reporting supports timely decision-making and maintains high standards of data accuracy and reporting quality. • Provide strategic leadership to the Central Reservations function (ResHub). Oversee reservations performance to maximise conversion, revenue and service quality. Ensure booking processes, rate loading and inventory controls remain accurate. Establish clear service standards, procedures and operational benchmarks. Support the development and capability of the reservations team. Improve workflows through process optimisation, automation and system use. This should result in measurable improvements in reservations conversion and service performance. • System performance, Governance and utilisation effectiveness. Drive system optimisation, upgrades, integrations and vendor management. Maintain data accuracy, integrity and governance standards. Provide leadership in system adoption, training and best practices. Identify automation opportunities to improve efficiency and scalability. Own and manage commercial and revenue-related systems, which may include: o Property Management Systems (PMS); Revenue Management Systems (RMS); Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms o Booking and distribution platforms o Reporting and analytics tools • Align teams and stakeholders to deliver commercial success. Strong alignment amongst finance, marketing, and operations divisions within the business. Commercial priorities are clearly understood across the business. Ensure commercial priorities are clearly communicated and executed. Contribute to organisational planning and commercial decision making. Mentor and develop team members to strengthen commercial capability and support long term commercial performance and stakeholder confidence.
