A dynamic opportunity is available for a DMC Retail Travel Specialist to join a fast-paced reservations team, designing and managing bespoke safari itineraries for international clients.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, service-driven professional with strong sales ability and a passion for creating exceptional travel experiences.
• Design and craft tailor-made itineraries
• Manage the full reservations process from quotation to final documentation
• Ensure bookings meet guest expectations and budget requirements
• Communicate clearly with agents, suppliers, and internal teams
• Handle bookings efficiently from enquiry through to invoicing
• Proactively sell travel products and enhance guest experiences
• Work rotational shifts (early/late) and emergency duty as required
• Maintain a calm, professional approach when assisting clients
• Ensure accuracy, attention to detail, and timely delivery of all services
• Passion for travel
• High attention to detail and strong time management
• Proactive, adaptable, and solution-driven mindset
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Ability to work under pressure with a sense of urgency
• Willingness to learn, share knowledge, and continuously improve
Requirements
Requirements:
• Strong knowledge of Southern and/or East African destinations
• Experience with reservation systems (Tourplan)
• Proficiency in MS Office and tools such as WETU
• Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple bookings and deadlines
