Our client, a well-established and highly regarded cherry producer located near Buffelspoort Dam in the North West Province, is seeking to appoint an experienced Farm Manager to join their production team. Our client forms part of an internationally respected, UK-based fresh produce enterprise with deep roots in global fruit production, marketing, and supply chain management.
The successful candidate will join a progressive, export-oriented business committed to excellence in horticultural practices, quality assurance, and sustainable production.
REQUIREMENTS:
- A suitable tertiary qualification.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in management and production of cherries or other stone fruit.
- Excellent tree training and pruning experience.
- Must be fully bilingual (Afrikaans and English). A third language will be an advantage.
- Excellent leadership-, communication and people skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES & KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
- Orchard and crop production management.
- Workforce leadership and management.
- Compliance and standards management.
- Planning and coordination.
- Recordkeeping and administration.
- Quality, safety and risk management.
