Job Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced Product Head: Cryptography to lead and scale a specialist cryptography business unit. This role is responsible for driving market growth, product strategy, commercial performance, customer engagement, and team leadership across a portfolio of cryptographic solutions and services. The successful candidate will combine deep domain expertise with strong commercial acumen and leadership capability to build market share, optimise product offerings, strengthen customer relationships, and drive long-term business growth.

Product Strategy & Vision
- Define and execute the strategic direction of the cryptography product portfolio.
- Evaluate and optimise existing product offerings to improve commercial performance, profitability, operational efficiency, and customer value.
- Analyse and document the existing customer installation base to establish a comprehensive understanding of deployed technologies and market opportunities.
- Develop a forward-looking product vision that considers emerging industry trends, including post-quantum cryptography, supplier ecosystems, competitive positioning, and customer requirements.
- Ensure alignment between product strategy, market demand, and business objectives.
Product Lifecycle Management
- Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle across internally developed and third-party cryptographic solutions.
- Develop and implement lifecycle management frameworks covering market assessment, compliance requirements, architecture, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, support, roadmap planning, and retirement strategies.
- Collaborate closely with technology partners and suppliers to ensure customer requirements are reflected in future product roadmaps.
- Drive continuous product improvement and innovation initiatives.
Customer Engagement & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with customers across the cryptography market.
- Act as a subject matter expert and thought leader for customers, industry stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
- Gather customer feedback and market insights to inform strategic product decisions.
- Champion the voice of the customer within the organisation to enhance product adoption, satisfaction, and retention.
Commercial & Financial Management
- Develop and manage the business unit budget in line with growth objectives.
- Drive revenue growth, profitability, and sustainable commercial performance.
- Establish pricing strategies that support product-market fit and long-term business success.
- Lead commercial negotiations with third-party suppliers and technology partners.
- Provide regular financial reporting, forecasting, and performance insights to executive stakeholders.
- Ensure effective resource allocation and investment prioritisation across the business unit.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop both technical and commercial teams.
