About the Opportunity
Medical Resources Group is recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established Healthcare Centre in Randburg, for an experienced and qualified HR Manager.
This is a senior, hands-on role responsible for managing the full Human Resources function across a workforce of approximately 220 employees. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliance, driving HR strategy, managing employee relations, and supporting organisational performance within a structured healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
HR Operations & Compliance
- Oversee and manage the full HR function across the organisation
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures aligned to legislation and best practice
- Ensure compliance with South African labour legislation (LRA, BCEA, EEA, OHS Act)
- Maintain accurate HR records, reporting, and system integrity
Recruitment, Retention & Development
- Manage end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes
- Implement retention strategies to attract and retain skilled healthcare staff
- Lead performance management processes and support employee development
- Facilitate training and development initiatives aligned to organisational needs
Employee Relations & Discipline
- Manage employee relations, including grievances, disciplinary processes, and hearings
- Handle dispute resolution and represent the organisation where required (e.g. CCMA matters)
- Provide guidance to management on HR and labour-related matters
- Promote a fair and consistent approach to HR practices
Strategic HR & Organisational Support
- Monitor organisational culture and employee engagement
- Support succession planning and workforce development initiatives
- Oversee Employment Equity planning, implementation, and reporting
- Support B-BBEE processes through accurate HR data and compliance
Additional HR Functions
- Manage Injury on Duty (IOD) processes in line with COIDA requirements
- Oversee HR reporting and support payroll inputs and benefits administration (payroll not processed in this role)
- Assist with audits and ensure HR compliance across the organisation
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field (Essential)
- Minimum 5+ years’ HR experience, with at least 3 years in a management or senior role
- Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation and compliance frameworks
- Experience in employee relations, disciplinary processes, and hearings
- Experience in recruitment, training, and performance management
- Exposure to Employment Equity, COIDA/IOD processes, and B-BBEE
- Experience working in a healthcare environment (Advantageous)
- Postgraduate qualification (Advantageous)
