Where You'll Make an Impact:
Lead the management, maintenance, and continuous improvement of physical and electronic security systems to ensure their integrity, reliability, and operational readiness.
Develop governance frameworks that ensure all security systems are consistently operational and aligned with organizational security objectives.
Oversee the proactive maintenance of security systems across all entities within the organization, minimizing downtime and enhancing system availability.
Maintain a comprehensive database of security system information, track anomalies, and coordinate timely resolutions of system failures and maintenance needs.
Implement operational risk management strategies for electronic security infrastructure, identifying vulnerabilities and mitigating potential threats.
Compile, analyse, and report on security system performance metrics to support strategic decision-making and operational improvements.
Lead and develop a skilled security systems team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and professional growth.
Contribute to lifecycle analysis, research, and design processes to develop fit-for-purpose security solutions.
Manage the security department’s capital and operational budgets, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.
Requirements:
NQF 8 qualification/ Honours degree in Information Technology/Security Systems Management/Electronics Security Systems or related
Proven leadership and management experience in security infrastructure, ideally within a financial or similar high-security environment.
Strong skills in security incident management, security management, relevant legislation and regulations, electronic security systems, computer-based systems and SANS Standards.
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement governance and risk mitigation frameworks.
Budget management experience with a focus on operational efficiency.
Excellent interpersonal skills to lead and empower teams effectively.
