Store Leader Retail - High -End décor/textile/fabric experience

REQUIREMENTS
National Senior Certificate (Matric).
At least 3 to 5 years of sales and store leadership experience within a retail environment (preferably working with luxury or homeware brands).
Honesty and integrity in handling cash and store finances.
Deep knowledge of homeware or a passionate interest in interior decor field.
Experience in conducting and managing regular stock takes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Point of Sale (POS) system proficiency.
Highly sales-driven and customer-service orientated.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
The duties are categorized by Key Performance Areas (KPAs) as outlined across the six pages of the job document:
1. Sales & Budget Management
Meet monthly and quarterly store sales targets.
Set daily, weekly, and monthly targets for the team.
Actively upsell to retail clients and cross-sell products to trade clients.
Train staff on new products and motivate an active selling culture.
Manage product availability, ensuring top-selling items are well represented.
2. Store Operations & Standards
Enforce store policies, hygiene, and OHSA safety standards.
Merchandise store displays and window layouts according to company Style Guides.
Manage the daily opening and locking up of the store using checklists.
Take action on old, slow-moving, or damaged inventory.
3. Customer Satisfaction
Deliver professional, prompt service and give expert product care advice.
Resolve client complaints and queries on the same day.
Manage customer back-orders, credits, and approvals (appro policy).
Maintain an updated client profile database and invite customers to new product launches.
4. Stock & Consignment Management.
Maintain accurate inventory quantities (data integrity).
Complete regular, precise stock takes and investigate any variances.
Process all stock movements through the system on the exact day of transfer.
Receive consignment deliveries, check waybills, and report shortages.

Perform daily cash ups, invoice reconciliations, and handle banking allocations.
Resolve client account queries before finalizing any sales transactions.
Sign off weekly RMS reports (voids, cash ups, refunds, and petty cash).
7. General Ad Hoc)
