We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer to play a pivotal role in designing and scaling a next-generation data platform that powers analytics, data science, and business-critical insights.

What you’ll be doing

Architecture & Technical Leadership

• Design scalable, secure, and high-performance data platforms
  
• Define and enforce best practices across data modelling, CI/CD, and IaC
  
• Lead development of batch and real-time pipelines
  
• Drive standards for data quality, governance, and observability
  

Data Engineering & Platform Delivery

• Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines and workflows
  
• Integrate data from APIs, third-party systems, and streaming platforms
  
• Manage orchestration, scheduling, and performance tuning
  
• Deliver curated datasets for analytics and BI use cases
  

Quality, Operations & Ownership

• Ensure data reliability through validation, reconciliation, and testing
  
• Own production pipelines: monitoring, alerting, and incident resolution
  
• Implement observability by design (logs, lineage, metrics)
  
• Support automated deployments and post-release validation
  

Leadership & Collaboration

• entor and guide data engineers across the team
  
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Analysts, Product & Engineering teams
  
• Translate business needs into scalable, technical solutions
  
• Contribute to hiring, standards, and continuous improvement
  

Requirements

Must-have

• 10+ years in Data Engineering or similar
  
• Strong SQL expertise
  
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Data Factory, and Power BI
  
• Proven track record building scalable, production-grade pipelines
  
• Solid understanding of data modelling and architecture patterns
  
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure)
  
• Strong system design and problem-solving ability
  

Nice to have

• Experience with streaming technologies (Kafka, Kinesis, Pub/Sub)
  
• Infrastructure as Code experience
  
• Exposure to ML/data science pipelines
  
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance
  
• Prior leadership or mentoring experience
