Job Summary
The Sales Consultant is responsible for converting leads received from bond origination businesses into successful insurance sales. The role involves engaging with clients telephonically to generate quotes, deliver exceptional customer service, and achieve individual sales targets. The Sales Consultant operates in a regulated environment and ensures full compliance with industry requirements while contributing to the overall success of the sales team.
Key Responsibilities Lead Conversion
- Conduct outbound calls to prospective clients using leads supplied by bond origination partners.
- Present and explain insurance products to clients, tailoring solutions to meet individual needs and circumstances.
- Generate quotations and conduct follow-ups to convert enquiries into confirmed sales.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and long-term retention.
- Handle client queries in a professional and timely manner, ensuring a smooth and positive customer experience.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of client interactions, quotes, and sales activities on the CRM system.
Sales Performance
- Meet or exceed individual sales targets and KPIs within a high-volume, performance-driven environment.
- Work closely with the Sales Manager and team members to support the achievement of overall sales objectives.
Compliance
- Ensure all sales activities are fully compliant with FSCA regulations, FAIS requirements, and internal policies and procedures.
- Remain informed of regulatory changes and industry standards to maintain ongoing compliance.
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Matric Certificate.
- RE5 qualification and FAIS compliance (e.g. NQF 5 Wealth Management) are mandatory.
- Relevant sales or insurance-related certifications or training are advantageous.
Minimum Required Experience
- Proven experience in achieving sales targets within a high-volume, target-driven environment.
- Previous experience within the insurance or financial services industry is preferred.
